Learning outcomes
The purpose is to provide students with knowledge background, practical skills, high-level research and professional training in human biology for further comprehension of academic curriculum.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1) Know the general patterns of human, animal and plant structure; 2) Distinguish the features of the structure and functioning of human organ systems; 3) Work with simple optical devices, observance of safety in the laboratory.
Course content
"Medical Biology" involves students gaining knowledge of biological and bioorganic chemistry, histology, cytology and embryology, physiology, medical genetics, clinical immunology, infectious diseases, epidemiology, pediatrics, etc.; formation of skills to apply the acquired knowledge in the field of clinical medicine to substantiate the clinical diagnosis and explain the peculiarities of the pathological processes in the human body. The subject of study of the discipline "Medical Biology" is the biological basis of human life.
