To form in foreign students basic skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing in the Ukrainian language in limited educational institutions of everyday communication, which will become an elementary basis for learning the Ukrainian language.

Full-time form

1. Ability to work independently with scientific-methodical literature. 2. Processions of elementary skills in system analysis, synthesis and compilation of information.

The discipline gives an initial idea of the Ukrainian language: the alphabet, the basic rules of reading and writing techniques, the basis of grammar. Students learn to write and read in Ukrainian, to reproduce oral speech in writing correctly, to participate in the dialogue within the limits of everyday themes, defined by the program, to realize the following communicative intentions in Ukrainian: greetings, farewells, apologies, acquaintance, questions (about a subject, a person, an action of a person, where an object is located, an appearance and a character of a person, an affiliation of a subject) and answers to them, an invitation to enter, a notification of the number, a subtraction of the number, the story of the family etc.
