Learning outcomes
PR01 Demonstrate an understanding of the basic principles of management of environmental actions and / or environmental projects. PR04. Use the management principles on which the environmental safety system is based. PR07. Solve problems in the field of environmental protection using conventional and / or standard approaches and international and domestic experience. PR11. Be able to predict the impact of technological processes and industries on environment. PR12. Participate in the development and implementation of projects aimed at optimal management and treatment of industrial and municipal waste. PR13. Be able to form effective communication strategies to convey ideas, problems, solutions and personal experience in the field of ecology. PR14. Be able to communicate the results of activities to a professional audience and general public, make presentations and announcements.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Know the patterns of functioning of ecosystems, the nature of the links between biotic and abiotic components of ecosystems. 2. Be able to assess the nature and consequences of human economic activity on ecosystems, apply environmental laws to determine the response of ecosystems to load. 3. Possess basic skills basic skills of working with scientists articles, statistics, extrapolation of the obtained data.
Course content
The educational function of the discipline is to provide students with knowledge that would meet modern requirements for the general patterns of origin and the development of environmental hazards, health problems of the individual and society, the main environmental hazards; to form the skills and abilities necessary for the future practical activity of the specialist to prevent and eliminate environmental hazards, protect people and the environment.

Semester assessment: 1. Modular work №1: PH 1.1 (partially), 2.1 (completely), PH 3.1 (completely) - 20/10 points. 2. Modular work №2: PH 1.1 (partially), PH 2.2 (completely) - 20/10 points. 3. Work on practical classes: RN 1.1, RN 2.1–2.2, RN 3.1, RN 4.1 (all - partially) - 16/8 points. 4. Independent work (RN 3.2) - 4/2 points. Final assessment in the form of an exam
