Learning outcomes
PLO5. Apply analytical and methodological tools to substantiate proposals and make management decisions by various economic agents (individuals, households, enterprises and public authorities). PLO7. Explain the models of socio-economic phenomena in terms of fundamental principles and knowledge based on an understanding of the main directions of economic science and economic policy. PLO8. Apply appropriate economic and mathematical methods and models to solve economic problems in the field of economics and economic policy. PLO12. Apply the acquired theoretical knowledge to solve practical problems in the field of economics and economic policy and meaningfully interpret the results.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Know: theoretical principles of analysis of mass socio-economic processes; methods of statistical generalization of data, analysis of the structure, dynamics and intensity of the manifestation of mass phenomena and processes. 2. Have: skills of primary statistical processing and data analysis; methods of calculating average and relative values; construction of statistical tables and graphs in the EXCEL environment; use of Internet resources; preparation of analytical notes on the results of data processing and generalization.
Course content
The curriculum consists of two content modules: module 1 "Patterns of population reproduction", which examines current trends in population formation, the evolution of its sex and age composition and the nature of life; module 2 "Analysis of the intensity of demographic processes", which reveals the nature, intensity and course of demographic processes, as well as current trends in migration processes. The content of the discipline is revealed in the following topics: methodological principles of demography, global and regional demographic situation, population and its composition, mortality, tables of life expectancy and life expectancy, analysis of marriage and divorce, analysis of fertility and fertility, study of reproduction, analysis population migration.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The purpose of the discipline - the formation of students' theoretical knowledge and practical skills of analysis of demographic processes, the use of sources of statistical information. The educational task of the course is to study the basic methods of quantitative assessment and description of the patterns of reproduction of the population of a particular region in specific time conditions.
Assessment methods and criteria
Forms of student assessment: (max. 100 points / min. 60 points) - semester assessment of 60 points maximum / 36 points minimum: 1. Participation in laboratory work (discussion, answers to theoretical questions, independent practical exercises) - 10 points / 6 points 2. Execution of 2 individual calculation and analytical independent works - 25 points / 15 points each. - final assessment in the form of an exam 40 points maximum / 24 points minimum
