Prerequisites and co-requisites
In order to better master the educational material of the discipline, students should get acquainted with the disciplines of the natural sciences: geoinformatics, basics of mathematical analysis, statistical processing of geological information, general and historical geology, hydrogeology, engineering geology, structural geology.
Course content
The curriculum of the discipline "Geoinformation systems in geology" reveals the main aspects of the application of geographic information systems in geology. The subject of study is geological objects in terms of their factual description, presentation, modeling and analysis using GIS. The study of the discipline will allow students to acquire knowledge and skills in the collection, accumulation, processing, generalization, spatial analysis, optimization and dissemination of spatial information by GIS.
