Learning outcomes
Know the conceptual and categorical apparatus, approaches and directions of gender and economic theory, trends in gender research in the economic sphere
Know the features of the gender approach to the analysis of social phenomena
Be able to use the methodology and conceptual and categorical apparatus of gender analysis for the analysis of the economic sphere
Have the skills to critically analyze the processes of social construction of gender
Carry out independent analytical, research and exploration activities

Possess the conceptual apparatus of modern sociological theory
Course content
The essence, specifics and history of the formation of gender research as a scientific field. Conceptual apparatus and conceptual principles of gender sociology
Gendered social institutions. Gender issues in economic theory.
Gender statistics. Gender differences and inequalities in the labor market. Gender differences and sociology of care. Soviet and post-Soviet gender order through the prism of the concept of gender contracts. Challenges and opportunities to overcome gender inequality in the labor market of Ukraine. Gender-oriented budgeting.
