Learning outcomes
PLO 2. Demonstrate an understanding of the principles of economic science, the peculiarities of the functioning of economic systems. PLO 8. Determine supply and demand in the labor market, analyze the structure of employment and unemployment. PLO 9. To analyze the functioning and development of economic entities, to determine the functional areas, to calculate the relevant performance indicators of their activities. PLO 10. Be able to analyze the processes of state and market regulation of socio-economic and labor relations. PLO 14. Perform research according to the order.
Form of study
Prerequisites and co-requisites
As a result of studying the discipline the student must: 1. Know the basics of accounting, organizational structure of the firm, the principles of researching customer needs, their behavior in the market; basics of competitive relations between enterprises; general economic indicators of the enterprise, the principles of labor and tax legislation, etc. 2. Have the skills of critical analysis and creative thinking; teamwork and / or small groups; present research results; work with primary sources.
Course content
The subject of study of the discipline is the theoretical and practical principles of organization and implementation of economic activity of the firm as a separate organizational structure and a key part of the economic system. The key directions of realization of business activity are studied; the main indicators of the success of economic activity of the firm and modern ways to increase its efficiency.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The purpose of the discipline - to help students acquire skills aimed at pre-defined management results through optimal use labor, material, financial and credit and other resources of the firm, practical skills in making scientifically sound economic and managerial decisions in a market economy.
Assessment methods and criteria
Forms of student assessment: (max. 100 points / min. 60 points) 1. Oral interview, discussion - 20 points / 12 points; 2. Solving problems - 15 points / 9 points; 3. Testing - 20 points / 12 points; 4. Independent work (work on the business idea and economic activity of the company) - 25 points / 15 points; 5. Final test - 20 points / 12 points.
