Knowledge of the general laws of nature of the planet Earth as a whole system, awareness of the dangers of cosmic phenomena to life. Knowledge of the laws of structure, dynamics and development of the earth's crust. Orientation in the course of processes in the hydrosphere and atmosphere and the negative consequences of their anthropogenic pollution. Knowledge of the processes of origin and evolution of the biosphere and its impact on the Earth's geographical envelope, the relationship of processes in the atmosphere, hydrosphere, biosphere and lithosphere on Earth as a whole. Assimilation of principles of rational nature management and nature protection measures. Ability to determine the processes occurring in the hydrosphere and atmosphere and their impact on the geographical envelope of the Earth; Orient in the natural resource base of individual regions.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastering of courses in General and Historical Geology, Topography. 2. Possession of skills to work with topographic maps, work with scientific sources.
Course content
The discipline program includes acquaintance with the general laws of nature of the planet Earth. The discipline studies the internal structure of the Earth, its outer shells, geological processes that change its surface. The main concepts of the discipline are: patterns of structure, dynamics and development of the earth's crust, hydrosphere and atmosphere to develop a system for optimal control of processes occurring in the geographical environment and the rational organization of the use of natural resources. This discipline provides a basic knowledge base about the patterns of existence and development of the geographic shell of the Earth, its dynamics. The discipline program involves mastering the basic methods of physical and geographical research, which are necessary for future specialists in the field of geology, geoinformation systems and technologies, land and real estate valuation.
