2. to analyze textual and visual sources of information about cultural phenomena and processes; to verify information according to professional objectives.

Form of study
Prerequisites and co-requisites
Students should know the methodological foundations of theoretical and practical training of specialists; the order of educational, methodical and scientific work of the department where practice is conducted; software and methodical support of the academic discipline from which classes will be held; specifics of teachers' work methods; psychological and age characteristics of the students, where the training sessions will be held; peculiarities of the organization and conduct of students' scientific research work (this knowledge is provided by the previously mastered course "Pedagogy of the higher school and teacher's pedagogical skills").
Be able to search, process, analyze and synthesize information on current problems of cultural studies;
Have basic critical thinking skills; communication (oral and written) in national and foreign languages.
Course content
Part 1. Active practice
1 Acquaintance with methodical recommendations for assistant practice.
2 Consultation with the head of practice. Final coordination of lecture topics, seminar topics, related literature and dates.
3 Preparation for lectures. Working with literature, preparing a lecture plan and writing a text.
4 Preparation for seminar classes. Working with literature, preparing lesson plans and materials for them.
5 Conducting a lecture
6 Conducting a seminar class
7 Keeping a practice diary
Part 2. Passive practice
8 Attending the lecture of the head of practice
9 Attending a seminar class of the head of practice
10 Attending the lecture of another intern student
11 Attending a seminar class of another intern student
12 Writing a review of another student-intern's lecture
13 Writing a report on passing assistant practice

Assessment methods and criteria
1. Lectures: 20 / 35 points
2. Seminars: 20 / 35 points
3. Passive practice: 20 / 30 points
The semester number of points is formed by the points received by the student in the process of learning the material from the entire period of practice. The overall assessment for the internship consists of points received for active work (lectures and seminars) and for passive work (passive practice). All types of work for the semester have as a result:
- in the maximum measure of 100 points
- a minimum of 80 points
Final evaluation in the form of differentiated credit: the final number of points from the discipline (maximum 100 points), which is defined as the sum (simple or weighted) of points for systematic work during the course of practice.
