Form of study
Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Know the main methods of psychological research 2. To be able to search for information in the scientific literature 3. To be able to use web browsers, office programs
Course content
The goal of the course is to introduce modern statistical methodology - structural equation modeling. Students will learn the basic concepts and skills that will allow them to build measurement models of psychological constructs, determine their quality, study the relationships of latent variables using the R programming language. The course is designed for clinical psychologists who plan to engage in scientific research using modern quantitative methods or get acquainted with modern foreign professional publications. An understanding of the types of design common in clinical psychology will contribute to the correct planning of scientific research. Basic skills of working with the statistical analysis language R, fundamentals of modeling with structural equations will provide an opportunity to check the quality of measurement models and their invariance, to carry out research on complex relationships of latent variables

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Writing scholar paper on th basis og own empirical research, standardized tests of knowledge, lectures, seminars, practical works, individual work
Assessment methods and criteria
Final control form: credit. The score (100) is formed as follows: a maximum of 60 for work in the semester, a maximum of 40 for credit. Scored: 60-100 points. Oral answers - 40 points (5 points for each of 8 lessons). Assessment criteria: 5 – a detailed answer that demonstrates a deep understanding of the question, 4 – there is incomplete coverage of the question, 3 – the answer contains some insignificant errors, 2 – there are numerous errors, only basic things are covered, 1 - errors concern important aspects, side issues are highlighted. 2. Analytical report based on the results of own research: – 30 points. 3. Independent work - 30 points. Each of the types of independent work is evaluated with a maximum of 5 points according to the scheme in paragraph 1. 4. If the winner participates in the All-Ukrainian competition, speaks at a conference, prepares a scientific article, he receives an additional 60 points
