Learning outcomes
2. To analyze, comment and summarize scientific and analytical texts of culturological format.
5. To collect, organize and analyze information on cultural phenomena, events, historical and cultural processes.
7. To understand the factors of cultural dynamics, the principles of periodization of cultural processes, their specific features and characteristics.
8. To interpret cultural sources (material, printed, visual, artistic) using special literature and certain methods, tо reasonably present conclusions regarding their content.
12. To substantiate, develop and implement cultural events and projects in compliance with the law according to the defined goals and objectives.
14. To conduct a public discussion and maintain a dialogue on Ukrainian culture with professionals and non-specialists.
16. To define, formulate and argue their own civic and professional position on topical social issues.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Students must know the basic stages and characteristics of the historical and cultural process; basic culturological concepts and categories;
2. Students must be able to collect and interpret information on phenomena and phenomena in the art of cinema and theater, to predict the prospects of their development taking into account the peculiarities of cultural processes in the modern world;
3. Students must have basic skills in research and information management; critical attitude and forecasting in relation to cultural and artistic events and phenomena; use of foreign language professional culturological information sources.
Course content
European Theater of the XIX-1/2 of the XX century. Ukrainian theater - from tradition to "Berezol". Origin and development of cinema in Europe and the United States. Ukrainian cinema in the early twentieth century. Theater and cinema of the East. The latest trends, experimental schools in theatrical art of the XX-XXI centuries. World cinema of the XX - XXI centuries. Opera and ballet as types of theatrical art. Theater of Europe from antiquity to the nineteenth century. Organization and management of theatrical institutions.
