Prerequisites and co-requisites
To succeed, the course students are supposed to know main stages and characteristics of historic cultural process, the place of ethics within philosophical knowledge. To be able to collect and interpret information concerning phenomena of culture, culture processes and events; to distinguish actual sociocultural problems and to justify principles and ways of their resolving. To possess the skills of the research and information management; critical attitude and prognosis concerning political, economic, cultural and arts events and phenomena; the using of foreign language professional information resources.
Course content
The goal of the discipline is to provide students with an integral understanding of the issues of professional and corporate ethics, the specifics of methods of ethical and applied research and ethical judgments and the ability to use them in resolving specific moral conflicts in modern practices. The subject matters of professional and corporate ethics, ethical dimensions of professionalism are defined. The specifics of ethical infrastructure ​​in professional and corporate activities, models and functions of ethical units and ethical documents are clarified. The basics of corporate culture and moral standards of the organization, and corporate social responsibility are clarified. The basics of pedagogical ethics, the mission of the university in modern socio-cultural practice are determined. The ethical principles of the scientist's activity are clarified. The value bases of translation and norms and principles of translation ethics are covered.

Oral answer, additions on seminars, participation in discussions and debates in lectures, essays (lecture module), final test.
Assessment methods and criteria
Form of the final control – credit. Oral answer (min 3x6 = 18, max 5x6 = 30), additions at seminars (min 1x5 = 5, max 2x5 = 10), participation in discussions and debates at the lectures (min 2x6 = 12, max 3x6 = 18), essay (lecture module) (min 13, max 22), final test (min 12, max 20). The semester number of points is formed by the points obtained by the student in the process of mastering the material from the entire course. The overall grade for the semester consists of points obtained for classroom work (oral presentations, additions and participation in discussions at lectures and seminars) and for independent work (essays). All types of work for the semester have in the end: a maximum of 80 points, a minimum of 48 points. 0-59 - fail. 60-100 passed.
