PLO 14. Use German and English in oral and written form, in different genre-stylistic varieties and registers of communication (official, unofficial, neutral), to solve communicative tasks in everyday, social, educational, professional, scientific spheres of life.
PLO 21. Interpret, summarize, annotate, and adequately translate oral and written texts of various styles and genres from German, English, and Ukrainian languages, excluding highly specialized texts.
PLO 23. Demonstrate the ability to identify and analyze the specifics of the communicative situation in translation and its impact on translation decisions.
PLO 25. Demonstrate skills in using innovative technologies and various translation resources, as well as translation automation tools.
PLO 26. Conduct stylistic editing of Ukrainian texts.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Proficiency in the German language at the B2 level.
2. Solid knowledge of the grammar, morphology, and syntax of both Ukrainian and German languages.
3. Theoretical knowledge from the course "Introduction to Translation Studies."
4. Practical translation skills developed through translation practice courses.
Course content
The translation internship is an integral part of the curriculum for bachelor's degree in Translation from German and English within the specialization 035 "Philology (035.043 "German Languages and Literatures (including Translation), Major - German"). The aim of the internship is to develop students' skills and abilities in written and oral translation in real socio-political conditions, based on the theoretical knowledge acquired at the university's Institute of Philology. It also aims to make students aware of the social significance of their professional knowledge and skills, provide them with practical experience in real translation projects, and encourage them to systematically and purposefully enhance their professional competence. The internship serves as an opportunity for students to independently seek and solve translation problems and assess their potential in various types of written and consecutive oral translation.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Familiarization with the translation internship base and the work of translators, performing written and consecutive oral translation, compiling a thematic glossary, preparing a report on the results of the internship, and defending the results in a credit.
Assessment methods and criteria
The program of the translation internship includes two content modules (worth 20 and 50 points), a comprehensive final module (worth 20 points), and the defense of the report at the final conference (worth 10 points).
