Learning outcomes
PRO3. Use theories and laws of mathematics, physics, chemistry and other sciences to solve problems of modern biology. PRO4. Understand the basic terms, concepts, principles, theories and laws in the field of biological sciences and on the boundaries of subject areas. PRO7. Demonstrate knowledge of the structural organization of biological systems at the molecular level of the organization. PRO8. Demonstrate knowledge of fundamental biological processes, structure and functions of living organisms PR15. Apply in professional activities methods for determining the structural and functional characteristics of biological systems at different levels of the organization. PR16. Choose methods, algorithms for planning and conducting field, laboratory, clinical and laboratory research, including mathematical methods and software for research, processing and presentation of results.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastering of the courses "General Cytology", "Molecular Biology", "Higher Mathematics", "Biochemistry", "Biotechnology", "Structure and functions of nucleic acids". 2. Be able to independently apply knowledge of general cytology, molecular biology, higher mathematics, biochemistry, biotechnology, structure and - functions of nucleic acids to solve practical problems in bioinformatics; work with scientific and methodological literature.
Course content
The subject of the discipline "Bioinformatics" are methods of preservation, detection, analysis, interpretation and the use of patterns in the sequences of biomolecular systems.

Semester assessment: I. Modular test work on the 1st topic: PH 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 2.1, 2.2, 2.3, 3.1 - 30 points / 15 points. 2. Modular test work on the 2nd topic: RN 1.2, 1.3, 1.4, 1.5, 2.2, 3.1- 30 points / 15 points. - final assessment: in the form of an exam
