PR04. Solve complex problems in the field of biology, generate and evaluate ideas. PR08. Apply during research knowledge of the peculiarities of the development of modern biological science, the basic methodological principles of scientific research, methodological and methodological tools for conducting research in specialization. PR19. Solve scientific-theoretical, research and applied problems of biology by appropriate methods. PR27. Apply existing, develop and implement new research methods and technologies to solve a specific scientific-theoretical and / or applied problem in botany, physiology and plant ecology.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Know - the basics of morphology and taxonomy of higher plants in the normative disciplines and field practices taught in previous years of study. 2. To be able - to identify botanical objects in the volume determined by normative and special disciplines taught in previous years of study. 3. Have basic skills in using keys to identify taxa of different ranks, to identify plants.
Course content
During the study of the discipline students form a system of knowledge and skills in the basics of dendrology, seed production, lawn, ornamental floriculture and floristics. Morphological features and decorative qualities of woody plants, main groups of lawns, methods of determining sowing qualities and seed yield, types of flower decoration, principles of selection of ornamental plants for different types of landscaping, types and kinds of floral arrangements, including wedding, autumn, spring and New Year, and as well as techniques for their creation.
