Learning outcomes
PR08. Plan and manage research, scientific and technical and / or production projects in the field of biotechnology, based on current trends in science, technology and society. PR11. Fluently communicate orally and in writing in state and foreign languages, discuss with experts and non-specialists the results of research, innovation and / or production management and biotechnology. PR12. Find the necessary information in scientific and reference books, electronic databases, other sources of information, assess its relevance and reliability.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. know the stages of the historical and cultural process; basic ethical and philosophical concepts and categories, characteristics of the main provisions of ethical systems and their corresponding value and regulatory programs; studies in the field of biotechnology and their main methods of studying the features and specifics of biotechnological practices in a globalized world; leading modern concepts of biotechnology in the context of modern civilization challenges. 2. be able to apply the basic methodology of imperative-value aspects of professional practice directly to the dilemmas of professional and corporate ethics; predict and predict possible negative consequences for contradictory phenomena and processes of biotechnological reality; find adequate mechanisms for their solution and prevention.
Course content
The course acquaints students with the basic conceptual and categorical apparatus of ethics, its methods and tools for identifying moral issues in the context of biotechnology. The reasons of actualization and updating of value bases in professional activity are emphasized, the value-normative requirements of the basic ethical systems with concretization in modern biotechnological practices are compared. The subject of professional and corporate ethics is considered; emphasizes the differences, contradictions and the likelihood of conflict between the value and regulatory requirements of professional and corporate morality.
