Learning outcomes
PLO 1.To associate oneself as a member of the civil society, the scientific community, to recognize the rule of law, in particular in professional activities, to understand and be able to use their own rights and freedoms, to show respect for the rights and freedoms of other. PLO 6. To use professional arguments to transmit information, ideas, problems and ways of their solving to professionals and non-professionals in the field of economic activity. PLO 14.To identify and plan personal career development opportunities PLO 24. To demonstrate the ability to act socially and consciously on the basis of ethical principles, to appreciate and respect cultural diversity, individual differences of people .

Prerequisites and co-requisites
2.1. To know the content of the main stages of World history and the history of Ukraine, the fundamental tenets of the education system in Ukraine. 2.2. Have the skills of analytical thinking, generalization, comparative analysis, public speaking, English. 2.3. Be able to analyze phenomena and processes, make presentations.
Course content
The curriculum consists of the following sections: Section 1. University studies in Theoretical Economics at the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv: history and modernity. Section 2. History of university education development in Ukraine and in the World. The history of formation and growth of university education and traditions in the world and in Ukraine in the context of the development of civilized educational space; the main stages of economic education and science development in Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv in the context of its history and present times, the history of the Faculty of Economics; current trends in the development of university education in Ukraine and in the World, the content of the Bologna process; institutional and organizational principles of higher education. Also educating students on ethical principles and norms of the university community

Information-traditional with problem-oriented teaching elements: lectures, independent work, consultations, individual project execution, situation analysis, performance of creative tasks, active methods of conducting classes: classes "History and Development of the Faculty of Economics of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv as a leading center of economic Education and Science in Ukraine", in the museum of the Faculty
Assessment methods and criteria
Oral presentations, participation in the discussion at the lecture, supplement, testing, blitz polls, performance of practical assignment, preparation of abstracts, essays, abstracts, reviews of articles and presentation of individual projects, quizzes, final test.
