Learning outcomes
To know the essence of venture capital and venture capital investments. To know the structure of the international venture capital market, current trends in it. Know the features, advantages and disadvantages of informal and corporate venture capital. To know the models and mechanisms of venture capital. To know the structure and mechanism of a venture fund. To know the process of selecting projects for venture investors. To know the methods of evaluating startups. To know the algorithm for structuring a transaction in venture capital. To know the possibilities of exiting venture capital. To be able to analyze the venture capital market. To be able to select projects to attract venture capital. To be able to evaluate startups. To be able to assess the shares of investors in each investment round. To be able to structure a venture investment agreement. To be able to choose the most optimal way to invest venture capital.

1. Basic knowledge of world economy, financial management and financial mathematics.

Course content
Content module 1. Basic concepts of venture investment. The concept of venture capital and venture capital investment. World experience of venture capital investment. International venture capital market. Informal venture capital market. Corporate venture capital. Venture capital models and mechanisms. Venture fund: structure, principles and model of activity. Content module 2. Organization of venture investment process. Features of project selection by venture investors. Estimation of startups and shares of a venture investor. Structuring a venture capital agreement. Exit from investments.
