            Learning outcomes
        
        
            To know the conceptual framework of the operation of the derivatives market, and the relevant source base. To know the main instruments of the derivatives market, the principles of their use, the main methods of trading in derivatives, the specifics of exchange and OTC trading in derivative securities. To know the main objectives and uses of forward contracts for various underlying assets. To know the system of organization and pricing in futures trading; margin trading mechanism; To know the basic strategies of futures trading using different underlying assets. To know the basic types and parameters of options; types and styles of options; mechanism of action of options. To know options trading strategies (straddle, strangle, spreadl, etc.). To know the definition of swaps; types of swaps on various underlying assets; goals and mechanisms of their use. Know the pricing mechanism in the derivatives market; the method of determining profits and losses on these transactions.

            Prerequisites and co-requisites
        
        
            1. To know the theoretical aspects and basics of regulation in the field of various forms of 
international economic relations and to be able to analyze the causes and consequences of 
trends in international economic relations.
2. The discipline is based on such disciplines as "Microeconomics",
"Macroeconomics", "World Economy", "International Economic Relations",
"World Finance", "Stock Market" and "Corporate Financial Management",
which are taught within the framework of professional training of specialists of educational and qualification level "bachelor".
3. To have basic skills of search and analysis of regulations,
analytical materials and sources of statistical data.
4. To know English or other foreign languages for better opportunities to study
regulatory documents on the derivatives market.

            Content module 1. Instruments of the futures market. The concept and purpose of derivative securities. Forward contracts. Futures market instruments: futures. Option contracts. Options trading strategies. Futures market instruments: swaps. Content module 2. The mechanism of pricing and operations in the global derivatives market. Mathematical models for operations with derivative securities. Pricing in the derivatives market. Operations in the derivatives market (Hedging. Speculation. Arbitrage.) International derivatives markets. Derivatives market in Ukraine.
