Learning outcomes
To know the conceptual framework that characterizes global financial innovations. To know the sources of new financial products and technologies of international financial markets. To know the methods and directions of financial innovations and financial engineering. To know the essence and characteristics of structured finance. To know the system and features of structured products. To know the structure and mechanism of functioning of catastrophe-linked financial instruments. To know alternative types of investing in global finance. To know the peculiarities of the development of securitization of financial assets and risks. To know the specifics of hedging climate risks in international financial markets. To be able to systematize the prerequisites, factors and prospects for the development of the global market of innovative financial products and its individual segments.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Knowledge of the regularities in the development of world finance, instruments and mechanisms of international financial markets and the fundamentals of financial mathematics; skills of search and analysis of statistical data, primary sources of financial information and analytical materials; knowledge of English or other foreign languages to expand the possibilities of studying and analyzing information sources on the problems of innovative development of international financial markets.

1. Innovation process in the financial economy of the world. 2. Methods of engineering financial products. 3. Securitization of assets and risks in global finance. 4. Mechanisms and models of securitization of financial assets in the world economy. 5. Structured finance. 6. Catastrophe-linked financial instruments in climate and disaster risk management. 7. Structure and mechanism of catastrophic bonds. 8. Structured financial products. 9. Design and evaluation of structured securities.
