Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastering of the courses "Meteorology", "Atmospheric Physics", "Climatology",
"Biometeorology.
2. Knowledge of theoretical foundations and methodological approaches to assessing the impact of weather and
climatic conditions on the human living environment and its production activities, knowledge of
principles and methods of using meteorological and climatic information for
solving applied problems in production and non-production spheres.
Course content
The curriculum covers a wide range of
issues related to human ecology, health, economic activity, as well as
issues related to modern problems of air pollution,
global and regional climate change, hydrometeorological support as part of
environmental monitoring of the environment. The discipline studies: - functions of the atmosphere as a component
global ecological system; - the importance of meteorological factors (light, heat,
atmospheric humidification, pressure, wind, cloudiness, etc.
influence of climate on the evolution and geography of ecosystems; - influence of weather and climate on human health
human health, life, economic activity, recreation, tourism, etc.
