Course content
The discipline "Batrachoherpetology" is an elective discipline. The need for this discipline is determined by the need to understand the specifics of the structure and functioning of the organism of amphibians and reptiles, the principles of their relationship with the environment. The study of the discipline involves prior acquaintance with the normative course "Zoology" and complements the systematic sections of zoology (protozoology, entomology, ornithology, theriology, etc.). However, it is closely related to such disciplines as population ecology, biogeocenology, biodiversity. The teaching of this discipline is aimed at theoretical and practical mastering by students of methods of research of amphibians and reptiles, formation of future specialists' theoretical knowledge, skills and practical abilities to assess the state of their population.
