- possess knowledge, skills and abilities in the disciplines of the social and humanitarian cycle, such as: "Introduction to university studies" and others.
- to know the main categories and concepts related to the life activity of a person and society.
- to be able to identify and analyze educational and scientific information, to draw reasonable conclusions on issues of professional activity.
- possess elementary skills of drafting written documents, correcting their content, systematizing materials necessary for work, effective organization of one's own educational activities.
Course content
The discipline belongs to the block of humanitarian and socio-political disciplines, is an organic combination of legal knowledge necessary for the formation of general competencies in specialists of any field of knowledge and branch legislation in the field of geodesy, cartography and cadastre. The discipline includes two content modules:
1. Labor law, legislation on the basics of entrepreneurial activity form a student's set of knowledge and skills about: employment contract; working time and rest time; salary; labor protection; labor discipline, disciplinary and material responsibility; protection of labor rights, obligations regarding taxes and a single contribution to mandatory state social insurance when conducting business activities.
2. Branch legislation in the field of geodesy, cartography, and cadastre form a student's set of knowledge and skills about: legal relations in the field of geodesy, cartography, and cadastre (subjects, objects, content), responsibilities of various types in the specified areas.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Lectures, seminar classes, practical task, oral survey, establishing the conformity of the decisions made with the current legislation, analytical task, control of the timeliness and quality of task performance, credit.
Assessment methods and criteria
Types of current control are: oral survey, control papers on theoretical issues that are covered in lectures and studied by the student in independent work, solving problem situations in seminar classes, solving practical tasks during independent work.
A student who scored 40 or more points during the semester for both educational blocks, completes the credit according to the lists of questions provided by the teacher to students at the beginning of the semester. A student who scored less than 40 points in the sum of both study blocks during the semester is required to prepare an essay or other individual task, based on the results of which the teacher makes a decision on admitting the student to the assessment.
