Know: -Turkish language at a level not lower than B2. - English at a level not lower than B2. be able to: - Perform consecutive interpretation from Turkish to English and vice versa; - Perform abstract interpretation/translation from Turkish to English and vice versa; - Perform anatomical interpretation/translation from Turkish to English and vice versa;
Course content
The discipline "English-Turkish Translation" is designed to develop and improve the translation competencies of second-year students of the Master's degree program, specialty "№035 "Philology" 035.02 "Crimean Tatar Language and Literature", which consist in adequate reproduction of the full text of the original in Turkish into English and vice versa, taking into account the lexical, grammatical and stylistic features of both languages.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Practical classes - interpreting and translation. Independent work - translation/interpretation of full/annotated/abstracted translations from English into Turkish and vice versa.
Assessment methods and criteria
The control of knowledge is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides for a two-level assessment of the material learned, in particular, the assessment of theoretical training - learning outcomes (knowledge 1.1 - 1.3), which is 40% of the total grade, and the assessment of practical training - learning outcomes (skills 2.1-2.3); (autonomy and responsibility 4), which is 60% of the total grade. Assessment of semester work: 1. Work in practical classes: LO 1.1-1.4, 2.1-2.3, 4 - 10/26 points. 2. Translations (independent work): LO 2.1, 2.2, 2.3, 4 - 2/4 points. 3. Module test: LO 2.1, 2.2, 2.3, 4 - 12/20 points.
