For successful mastery with knowledge of the discipline "Geography of Tourism", students should: • have basic fundamental knowledge of the physical geography of the continents, physical and economic geography of Ukraine, political geography, of local studies, tourist local studies and other general geographical and special disciplines. • have knowledge and understanding of the basic patterns of territoriality organizations of society;

Geography of tourism studies patterns and factors of territorial tourism organizations, interrelationships of tourist flows, tourist resources, the material base and infrastructure of tourism, as well as the connection of this system with social needs in the sphere of free time use, with resettlement, territorial production complexes, branches of economy, system tourism management and planning; problems of complex development and specialization of tourist regions.
