1. Know the main characteristics of the formation and development of society. 2. To be able to receive and interpret information about public processes, to understand the events taking place in modern society. 3. Possess elementary skills of search, critical selection and systematization of information of both applied and theoretical nature.

the discipline is aimed at highlighting the main achievements of world and domestic socio-behavioral and humanitarian knowledge. The principles and trends of functioning are revealed social and political systems as a whole. The social and political essence is explained power, methods and limits of its implementation, relevant historical and modern features transformation of social structures and political regimes, the essence of social and political relations and conflicts in Ukraine. Characteristics are compared traditional and (post)modern, democratic and non-democratic realities.
