Prerequisites and co-requisites
It is desirable (but not critical) to familiarize students with modern concepts of Physics and Biology regarding the inner structure and structure of the Universe, the relationship of living and abiotic (inanimate) matter, through prior mastering of the course "Scientific Image of the World" or self-education.
Course content
The aim of the discipline: form students' ability to ensure ecologically balanced professional activity, as well as to carry out ecological assessment of measures (innovations) in the field of activity, to promote the development of ecological culture in everyday professional and social activities. The program focuses on the issues of Factorial Ecology and Synecology (community ecology), as well as methods of environmental quality control, including the basic principles of assessing the impact of economic activity on the environment. Problems of Demecology (ecology of populations) and Ecology of organisms, as the discipline is focused on students majoring in philology, are considered only in the context of other issues, while the basic principles of environmental policy, review of ways to implement it and criteria for effectiveness. Training is conducted in the form of lectures and independent work of students. The discipline ends with a test at the end of the semester.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Training activities during the semester: lectures intermediate control - two written tests with open answers
Assessment methods and criteria
Semester assessment: • maximum number of points during the semester - 100 points • Test work #1: PO 1.01-1.06 (fully), PO 1.09, 2 and 4 (partial) - the maximum number of 50 points. • Test work #2: РO 1.07-1.8, 1.10, 1.11 (completely), РO 1.09, 2 and 4 (partially) - - maximum number of 50 points. • Final evaluation: Test. Exhibited based on the results of two tests. A necessary condition for obtaining a positive assessment is to score 60 points per semester, and for each of the tests must be scored at least 25 points.
