Course content
Carbohydrate Biochemistry is an integrated science that examines the major classes of carbohydrates and carbohydrate-related molecules. The structure of the main classes of the above molecules is described, the main metabolic processes related to glycans and carbohydrate-related molecules, as well as their derivatives are described, the mechanisms of pathology development resulting in disruption of their synthesis or decay are considered. This discipline covers the methods of diagnosis of these diseases, protocols for their diagnosis and treatment. Demonstrates analysis of current challenges in science aimed at improving the diagnosis and treatment of congenital glycosylation diseases.
