Prerequisites and co-requisites
Students must have theoretical knowledge of the structure of the Turkish language, be able to carry out linguistic analysis of language material, have the skills to comment and interpret linguistic facts, analyze and parse syntactic units, and be able to apply the acquired knowledge in practice.
Course content
The purpose of the course is to develop a systematic understanding of the structure of the Turkish language at the syntactic level, to form skills of syntactically correct oral and written speech, to develop the basis for language self-improvement necessary for effective participation in communication processes. This course builds on the foundation laid by other disciplines (Oriental Language: Advanced Level, Theoretical Grammar of the First Oriental Language) and aims to deepen knowledge of the structure of micro- and macrosyntactic constructions and the specifics of punctuation in modern Turkish. Classes are held in the form of practical classes and are taught over the course of one semester. The course ends with a final test.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Teaching methods: practical classes; studying the literature on the history and modern Turkish syntax, independent work with additional literature; performing a syntactic analysis of the proposed material.
Assessment methods and criteria
Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides for a two-level assessment of the material learned, in particular, assessment of theoretical training - learning outcomes (knowledge), which accounts for 50% of the total grade, and assessment of practical training - learning outcomes (skills); (communication); (autonomy and responsibility), which accounts for 50% of the total grade. Assessment of semester work: Oral response in practical classes, a report-presentation on the chosen topic, homework on parsing. Final assessment: final test. Admission to the exam is based on the student's successful completion of assignments and work throughout the semester. The final grade in the discipline (minimum 60, maximum 100 points) consists of the sum of the number of points for the semester work (minimum 48, maximum 80 points) and the final test (minimum 20, maximum 12 points).
