Learning outcomes
PLO6 Use information and communication technologies to solve complex specialized tasks and problems of professional activity. PLO7 Understand the main problems of philology and approaches to their solution using appropriate methods and innovative approaches. PLO12 Analyze language units, determine their interaction and characterize linguistic phenomena and processes that determine them. PLO14 Use the Crimean Tatar language in oral and written form, in different genre-style varieties and registers of communication (official, informal, neutral), to solve communicative tasks in everyday, social, educational, professional, scientific spheres of life. PLO20.2 Perform English-Crimean Tatar interpretation and translation; perform Ukrainian-Crimean Tatar translation of scientific texts.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Know: -successful mastery of professional disciplines during previous courses; -knowledge of phonetic laws, grammatical constructions and syntax rules of the Crimean Tatar language; be able to: -use basic and professionally oriented knowledge of the basics of philology, history, sociology and cultural studies; -apply the acquired knowledge in practice. have basic skills of cognitive and professional activity; culture of thinking, its general laws.
Course content
The aim of the course is to familiarize students with the main provisions of modern translation studies of scientific texts, to form a practical basis for the skills and abilities of scientific translation necessary for their future work. Practical classes are aimed at developing conscious translation activity based on understanding the regularities of the process of translating scientific texts (articles, abstracts, monographs, etc.), the ability to identify translation problems, develop strategies and tactics for solving them in specific conditions. The aim of this course is to provide students with the professional competence to carry out translation activities in the field of research and communication.

Evaluation of semester work: 1. Work in practical classes (oral response) ELO 1.1-1.4, 2.1-2.2, 3.1-3.3,4 - 8/16 2. Written practical classes EL 1.1-1.4, 2.1-2.2, 3.1-3.3, 4 - 6/10 3. Test exercises at practical classes of the following subjects: EL 1.1-1.3; EL 1.2; EL 2.2 - 8/12 4. Module control work: RN 1.1-1.4, 2.1-2.2, 3.1-3.3, 4 - 24/40 5. Final assessment: credit. The overall grade is formed by the points obtained by the student in the process of mastering the material from the entire course and / or writing the final test, where: PH 1.1; PH 1.2; PH 1.3; PH 1.4; PH 2.1; PH 2.2; PH 4 - 14/20 points.
