PLO 2 Work effectively with information: select the necessary information from various sources, including professional literature and electronic databases, critically analyze and interpret it, organize, classify and systematize it. PLO 5 Collaborate with colleagues, representatives of other cultures and religions, supporters of different political views, etc. PLO 6 Use information and communication technologies to solve complex specialized tasks and problems of professional activity. PLO 14 Use Turkish and English, in oral and written form, in different genre-style varieties and registers of communication (formal, informal, neutral), to solve communicative tasks in everyday, social, educational, professional, scientific spheres of life.

Full-time form

Before starting this course, students must have successfully completed the professional disciplines during their previous courses. Know the phonetic laws, common and terminological vocabulary, grammatical structures and syntax rules of the Turkish language; have the skills of oral and written translation, basic skills of cognitive and professional activity; culture of thinking, its general laws.

The aim of the discipline is to develop and improve practical skills and abilities of full written and oral consecutive translation from and into Turkish, written and oral abstracting in Ukrainian/Turkish, oral translation from a letter, oral/written annotation on the basis of theoretical knowledge gained earlier. Students also develop the need to systematically replenish their knowledge and apply it creatively in practical activities in the field of their future profession. Particular attention is paid to the peculiarities of written translation of texts of newspaper and journalistic, fiction and popular science styles of speech and consecutive interpretation of texts of radio and television broadcasting.

Oral answers, additions, participation in discussions during practical classes, blitz surveys, tests, translation homework, independent work with dictionaries, text corpora, and videos from the Internet.

The grade is based on the student's performance throughout the semester and does not include additional assessment measures. Students who score a minimum positive score of 60 points receive a "pass" grade. Students who do not receive the minimum positive score receive a "fail" grade. Students who have scored a total of less than 60 points during the semester must pass the test by passing the material on the topics for which they have a debt. The final assessment is in the form of an exam: The final number of points in the discipline is determined as the sum of points for work during the semester, taking into account the final assessment. Admission to the exam requires the student to successfully complete assignments and work throughout the semester. The final grade in the discipline (minimum 60, maximum 100 points) consists of the sum of the number of points for semester work (minimum 37, maximum 60 points) and the exam (minimum 24, maximum 40 points).
