Course content
The discipline "Biophysical research methods" is part of the program of professional training of specialists of educational level "Bachelor" in the educational program "Biology" (specialization "Biophysics and Medical Informatics"). The discipline is a selective biophysical discipline that covers the use of physical phenomena to study biological processes. The basics of spectroscopy in the UV, visible and IR ranges, as well as in the radio frequency bands are considered. The laws of light scattering and nephelometer devices are studied. The basic principles of X-ray diffraction analysis of substances are considered. Theoretical and practical aspects of electrophoresis and chromatography, as well as mass spectrometry and other physical and physicochemical methods of research of biological processes are considered.
