Learning outcomes
Know the basic terminological and conceptual apparatus and sources of experimental archeology. Know research methods in experimental archaeology. To be able to characterize (determine features that are characteristic and characteristic) of the main stages of the experiment. Be able to determine and evaluate forms of experiment implementation depending on the type of modeling. Be able to determine the stages of reconstruction according to the specified conditions of the experiment. Be able to determine the procedures of experimental research. Be able to analyze the results of the experiment. To be able to find out methods of interpreting phenomena in the process of conducting an experiment. To be able to establish a causal relationship between archaeological sources and the results of experimental research. Be able to find out the reasons and conditions of technological changes in archeology.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Before starting this course, students should know the main chronological eras and events in human history; basic research methods and types of monuments in archeology and prehistory; 2. Be able to determine the main stages of changes in cultural traditions in archeology and prehistory; apply the basic terminology and categorical apparatus of modern archaeology. 3. Possess elementary skills of scientific research; initial systematization of archaeological material; the specificity of the program requires the use of foreign language sources.
Course content
The content of the course is divided into 2 content modules. Each content module includes practical, independent work of students, which ends with a rating control (test) of the level of assimilation of knowledge of the program material of the corresponding part of the course. Content module 1 (ZM1) includes topics 1 - 4, content module 2 (ZM2) - topics 7 - 10.

Assessment methods and criteria
The subject of students' independent work is their study of both individual topics and some sections of the course program topics. Checking the level of mastery of the material of independently studied topics or individual sections is carried out during practical classes, assessment of individual tasks (presentation, essay, essay), modular test papers, final test paper. During the semester, the student's work is evaluated during each practical session (presentation, report, addition, participation in the discussion). The criteria for evaluating a student's answer are: • complete disclosure of the issue; • the logic of presentation; • use of basic and additional literature; • analytical reasoning, the ability to draw conclusions.
