Prerequisites and co-requisites
Successful mastering of the theoretical foundations of inorganic and organic chemistry, mathematics and physics according to the school programs "Chemistry", "Mathematics", "Physics", and the training course "Chemistry with the basics of biogeochemistry". Ability to independently apply previous theoretical knowledge of the school curriculum of chemistry, physics, mathematics to solve the main types of computational problems in analytical chemistry and to solve specific scientific and practical problems; work with scientific and scientific and methodological literature. Be able to write equations of chemical reactions and have basic skills of the simplest operations in a chemical laboratory.
Course content
The discipline covers the principles and methods of separation, qualitative and quantitative determination of the chemical composition of substances. The discipline considers the use of some titrimetric methods of analysis and modern instrumental methods of analysis for environmental control. Attention is paid to the general approach to the analysis of specific samples, namely soils, natural and wastewater and other environmental objects. Practical classes complement the lecture material and help students to better master the theoretical knowledge gained in lectures. Practical classes (with experimental component) are aimed at developing skills of practical work in laboratories and the ability to independently solve problems that can be used in research in related sciences and other interdisciplinary projects.
