Prerequisites and co-requisites
1) the educational discipline "Fundamentals of Environmental Law" is based on school knowledge of jurisprudence and the basics of ecology, has a close connection with the disciplines "Land Law" and "Court Practice for the Resolution of Land Disputes"; 2) mastering the skills of searching, processing, and analyzing information, using information and communication technologies.
Course content
The teaching of the discipline is aimed at students mastering the basics of legal regulation of relations in the field of rational nature management, environmental protection, and ensuring environmental safety. The course analyzes the legal nature of environmental legal relations, the system of relevant normative legal acts, the legal basis of ownership of natural resources, the rights of general and special nature use, state, self-governing and public environmental management, the economic and legal mechanism in the field of environmental relations, legal responsibility for environmental crimes.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Lectures, seminars, express survey testing, assessment
Assessment methods and criteria
Types of current control are chosen by the teacher who conducts the seminar classes, in agreement with the lecturer and in accordance with this program. During the current control during the seminar classes, the following are subject to assessment: the level of knowledge demonstrated by the student in the answer, activity in discussing the issues of the seminar class, the systematicity of the work in the classes, the results of homework. The teacher, who conducts seminar classes, displays the number of points obtained from the current control within the specified period and enters them in the relevant documents for recording students' success. In the case of a student's absence from a seminar class for good reasons, he can make up for the missed class in extra-auditory time (teacher consultation time), by means of an oral survey or test. Points are awarded by the teacher based on the results of the missed lesson for valid reasons. Points are not awarded for unworked lessons.
