The aim of the discipline is to form a system of modern philological knowledge about the structure, patterns and most important aspects of the Turkish language. To show the influences and mutual influences of different languages on the Turkish language. The course "Introduction to Turkic Linguistics" is a fundamental subject in the system of professional training of translators and philologists. It provides a reasonable selection of initial linguistic knowledge, the understanding of which is necessary for the professional training of a philologist, enriching this knowledge with new factual material, clarifying and systematizing it on the basis of the achievements of linguistic theory.

Assessment methods and criteria
Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides for a two-level assessment of the material learned, in particular, assessment of theoretical training - learning outcomes (knowledge), which accounts for 40% of the total grade, and assessment of practical training - learning outcomes (skills); (communication); (autonomy and responsibility), which accounts for 60% of the total grade. Assessment of semester work: 1. Completion of tasks in seminars: - 12/30 points. 2. Creative and research tasks: 18/30 points. 3.Module control work №1 and №2: 8/10 points. 4.Final control work: 14/20 points.
