Learning outcomes
PLO2. Work effectively with information: select the necessary information from various sources, including professional literature and electronic databases, critically analyze and interpret it, organize, classify and systematize it. PLO8. To know and understand the language system, the general properties of literature as an art of words, the history of the Crimean Tatar language and literature, and be able to apply this knowledge in professional activities. PLO13. Analyze and interpret works of Ukrainian and foreign fiction and oral folklore, determine their specificity and place in the literary process. PLO15. Carry out linguistic, literary and special philological analysis of texts of different styles and genres.

Course content
The aim of the discipline is to familiarize students with the history of the Turkic oral and written literary process, folklore genres and specifics of the sources that form the basis of the Turkic written language. The discipline is theoretical and practical in nature and contributes to the practical formation of future teachers of Turkic studies, which is necessary in their future professional activities. This course helps to form a holistic view of the origin of Turkic folklore, introduces the first written sources; varieties of oral and fiction literature, folk tales, legends, destans, and artistic (written) works.

Evaluation of semester work: 1. Completion of tasks in seminars: - 9/27 points. 2. Creative tasks, abstract, presentation: - 20/30 points. 3. Module control work №1 and №2: 8/10 points. 4. Final control work: 15/23 points.
