Learning outcomes
A graduate should :
1. Read scientific literature freely in the field of the specialization and journalistic publications.
2. Understand the main ideas and recognize relevant information in discussions, debates, official reports, speeches, lectures, professional conversations.
3. Issue official business documents in a foreign language.
4. Annotate scientific material using different types of secondary text.
5. Make a report with prepared individual presentations.

Course content
V semester
1. The language for special purposes in the system of functional styles. Professional terminology system.
2. Vocabulary and syntax of scientific speech.
VI semester
3. Text organization in scientific and
journalistic speech.
4. Linguistic design of secondary texts on the basis of the source text.

1. 2 modules up to 10 points (written works) = 20 points (20%).
2. Current control (vocabulary, written assignment, classroom work, translation) = 40 points (40%).
3. Comprehensive final module (home reading, lexical and grammar test / test / exam) = 40 points (40%).
