Learning outcomes
LO 5. To argue ways to overcome problems and difficult life circumstances theoretically, to choose effective methods to solve them, to predict the consequences. LO 6. To develop long-term and current plans, programs of activities, to make effective decisions in difficult situations promptly. LO 7. To use specialized software in solving professional problems. LO 8. To analyze and evaluate the current social policy of the country, socio-political processes at the national, regional and local levels critically. LO 9. To use appropriate scientific investigations and apply professional research skills in the provision of social assistance. LO 10. To analyze socio-psychological processes in small and large groups.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
- Knowledge of the basics of "Scientific image of the world", "Social psychology", "Personality psychology", and "Psychodiagnostics in social work". - The ability to select and apply scientific research and psychodiagnostic methods, qualitatively analyze, summarize and systematize the results of scientific research. - Possession of elementary skills to define, analyze and explain social phenomena; mastering the skills of using information and communication technologies.
Course content
Discipline "Processing and statistical analysis of empirical data": - belongs to the list of mandatory; - aimed at studying basic concepts, techniques, mathematical methods of data analysis of research in social work; formation of skills for planning empirical research, organization of data collection, their standard recording, selection of the most adequate means of analysis; mastering the means of convenient presentation of data, their interpretation and obtaining scientific and practical conclusions; - consists of two meaningful parts: the first is dedicated to the study of the basics of measurement and quantitative description of data, and the second - to the study of methods of statistical inference; - provides theoretical knowledge and practical skills necessary for understanding professional publications based on empirical data and critical assessment of their quality; independent use of statistical methods of data analysis, which are used in conducting empirical research in social work; preparation of presentations and reports based on analysis results.

The grade is formed as the sum of all points scored during the semester. Oral answers (participation in discussion): 10/6 points Practical works (#1-6): 60/36 points Final test: 30/18 points The maximum number of points for work during the semester is 100. The final assessment is conducted in the form of credit. 0-59 – not credited; 60-100 credit
