Know the Ukrainian language at a level sufficient to listen to lectures and have the skills of analysis, be able to express and justify their own opinions.
Course content
The purpose of the discipline is to form a systematic understanding of the leading, defining trends in the development of Ukrainian history, which should contribute to their better orientation in the conditions of social life, adaptation to life and study in Ukraine, and the Ukrainian way of life. The discipline introduces foreign students to the basic principles of the history of Ukraine, customs and traditions of the Ukrainian people, other peoples living in Ukraine; contains an analysis of the main stages of Ukraine's past, its political history, contribution to the scientific, cultural and artistic treasury of mankind; is aimed at studying the origins of the Ukrainian nation and its place in the development of world history, civilization processes in different periods and determining Ukraine's place in the world community, prospects for the future; introduces the history, culture, customs, traditions and mentality of the country.

Educational activities: Lectures, practical classes, independent work. Teaching methods: Information and communication method, problem-based learning method. Independent work with Internet sources. Presentation method as work with information sources. Partial search method, problem situation method, communicative and interactive methods (conversations, surveys, educational discussions, etc.
