Learning outcomes
PLO 4. To evaluate and to critically analyze the most socially, personally and professionally significant problems, to propose ways to solve them in difficult and unpredictable circumstances, which requires the use of new approaches and forecasting.
PLO 5. To get optimal ways of effective interaction in the professional team and with members of other professional groups of different levels.
PLO 6. To apply knowledge about expressive, emotional, logical language means and speech technique for the planned pragmatic result achieving and for the successful communication organizing.
PLO 13. To explain accessibly and convincingly the essence of specific philological issues, one's own point of view on them and justification of it both to specialists and to the general public, in particular to students.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
successful mastering of the disciplines General Psychology, Pedagogical
Psychology, Age Psychology;
knowledge of theoretical essentials on the structure of the psyche, factors and basic
mechanisms of personality formation;
kills and abilities to analyze acacdemic literature, prepare essays, presentations, and
conduct discussions.
Course content
Objectives of the discipline – to acquaint students with the content, objectives and
methods of psychology of higher education as an academic discipline and field of science,
to provide general theoretical training, as well as the development of modern psychological
technologies for effective educational activities in higher education institutions. Annotation
of the discipline. The subject of the discipline is the psychological foundations of the
educational process and pedagogical interaction in higher education institutions,
psychological mechanisms of the formation of a professional personality. The discipline
consists two modules. The first one studies the theoretical and methodological essentials of
science, its conceptual and categorical apparatus, traits of the student as a subject of
educational and professional activity, adaptation to studying in higher education institutions;
peculiartities of of the student group development. the second module considers the
psychological aspects of the professional activity of the university teacher, psychological
principles of the development of the professional; psychological laws of pedagogical
interaction between teacher and student.

Lectures, independent work, practical and individual tasks.
Assessment methods and criteria
Final assessment:credit test. The scores for the semester comprise the points for the
mastering of the materials for the entire course. The total score for the semester consists of
the points for the classwork (oral answers, expanded answers, participation in discussions
and lectures, open-ended questions), independent work (writing essays, abstracts, preparing
presentations, mini-projects) and final test. All types of activities for the semester are
estimated as follows:
● 100 points maximum,
● 60 points minimum.
Final test: LR 1.1-1.3; LR 2.3, 2.4; LR 4.1.
