The study of the discipline involves the formation and development of competencies in particular: the ability to assess the competitive environment in the member countries, to know the list and functions of the EU institutions in the field of antitrust regulation, to understand tools and mechanisms for implementing the Union's common competition policy; the ability to assess the criteria and consequences of countries' accession to the EU, to summarize and analyze economic information on the single internal market, to identify patterns and main trends in the free movement of goods and services, labor and capital.

Distance form

A student must have general knowledge of the patterns of behavior of economic entities in market conditions, have a universal toolkit for making informed decisions about the choice in the presence of limited means and alternatives for thei use and have knowledge of English or other foreign languages to better understand examples of modern empirical research in the field of competitive policy of the EU.

Lectures, seminars, credit

Presentation of cases, mid-semester tests, interposition during the seminars, tasks. Semester assessment is carried out in the form of testing knowledge and skills: 1. During the answer to the seminar (participation in the discussion); 2. In the form of writing individual analytical works during independent study of topics; 3. In the form of essay writing; 4. In the form of discussion of trends in the development of forms of international economic relations; 5. In the form of a presentation of a study of a specific form of international economic relations.
