Learning outcomes
Knowledge of the basic principles, methods, ways of teaching material in general physics for students of higher education institutions (HEI). Ability to plan the course of classes, select and structure educational material for teaching disciplines to students of HEI. Ability to communicate with representatives of another culture. Mastering the communication skills needed to communicate with foreign students. Acquisition of skills of independence in the preparation and conduction of various forms of work with students and personal responsibility for the quality and effectiveness of this work.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
The student must know the basic concepts and categories of higher education pedagogy and teaching methods in HEI, have knowledge of general courses in physics and mathematics as well as basic course of theoretical physics, skills and abilities to solve problems in relevant courses, to perform, design and defend laboratory works in the general course of physics.
Course content
Acquaintance with the calendar plan of assistant practice, recommended educational and methodical literature, criteria for practice assessment, reporting documentation. Work with educational and methodical literature. Attending classes of the practice supervisor. Acquaintance with the methods of conducting practical classes and laboratory works. Preparation for independent performance of practical classes and laboratory works. Preparation of tasks for the current assessment of knowledge and skills of students. Independent conducting of practical classes and laboratory works (in the presence of the practice supervisor). Conducting current assessment of students' knowledge and skills. Analysis of the independently conducted classes together with the practice supervisor. Correction of mistakes. Preparation of the report. Defence of the practice.

Forms of student assessment:
semester assessment:
attending classes of the practice supervisor (10 points), work with educational and methodical literature (10 points), preparation for classes (20 points), conducting classes (40 points), conducting
assessment of students' knowledge and skills (10 points), communication with students (5 points), preparation of documentation on practice (diary, individual plan, report) (5 points);
final assessment:
differentiated test at the meeting of the department (maximum 100 points; the number of points is equal to the sum of points earned by the student during the semester for all activities).
Condition of admission to the final test: a student is admitted to the test if he scored at least 60 points during the practice.
