2. Professional entrance examination conducted at the Faculty of Physics of the University.
Qualification requirements and regulations, including graduation requirements
Professional qualification is assigned by a separate decision of the examination commission on the basis of: 1) successful mastering of the competencies of the block of disciplines of free choice of the student according to the training program with grades not less than 70 points; 2) passing all the practices provided for in the curriculum, with grades not lower than 75 points; 3) final certification with grades not lower than 75 points.
Programme learning outcomes
Conducting theoretical and experimental studies of the optical and electrical properties of crystals, semiconductors, and metal nanoparticles. Establishing links between spectral and other characteristics of condensed media, their structure, and physical processes in them, on the basis of both experimental data and theoretical studies. Analyzing electronic processes in macromolecules and nanosystems; obtaining the characteristics of the individual functional molecules for nanoelectronics and nanophotonics. Conducting computer calculations in the study of physical phenomena of quantum computer science in photonics and nanoelectronics.

Examination regulations and grading scale
Written and oral exams, tests, differentiated tests, presentations, tests, current control, defense of practices, comprehensive exam, defense of master's thesis. Exam and differentiated test rating scale: 90 -100 points - excellent; 75-89 points - good; 60-74 points - satisfactory; 0-59 points - fail. Test rating scale: 60-100 points - passed; 0-59 points - fail.

Work placement
Passing practice without separation from theoretical studies on the basis of scientific laboratories of the Department of Experimental Physics and the Department of Theoretical Physics of the Faculty of Physics and some institutes of the NAS of Ukraine provides in-depth training in "Quantum Computers, Computing and Information": -The practical scientific work (17 weeks, 6 ECTS credits); - Research practice(17 weeks, 6 ECTS credits); - Academic Practice (17 weeks, 5 ECTS credits); - Pre-graduation Practical Training (17 weeks, 6 ECTS credits).
