Learning outcomes
Know and understand modern methods of research, organization and planning of experiments, computerized methods of research, and processing of measurement results. Understand interdisciplinary links and contexts of specialty. Analyze and evaluate the impact of information measurement technology and metrological activities on the environment and human safety. Understand the methodological and philosophical aspects of modern science and their place in research. Understand the basics of patenting and have skills to protect intellectual property. Formulate working hypotheses of the problem, choose and be able to justify the necessary and effective methods of experimental research depending on the subject and object of research.

Successful mastering of courses "Philosophy". Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of the professional discipline.
Course content
The curriculum consists of three content modules. The first module is "Research Methodology". One credit is allocated for its teaching (10 hours of classroom classes, 20 hours of independent mastering of material. The final form of control is credit. This module reveals the meaning of "methodology", "methodology", "research methods", understanding of science as research, considered specifically -scientific, general-scientific, and philosophical levels of methodology The set of methodological systems of modern philosophy of science is outlined. The structure of theoretical and empirical knowledge in unity with methods of theoretical and empirical research is considered. Methodological problems of nonlinear science, determine the state of the modern methodology of science.

lectures, self-study, test, preparation of the abstract, test.
Assessment methods and criteria
Form of control of lectures - written express tests. Independent work, planned in the amount of 20 hours. The form of its control is the preparation of the abstract and the final test. Semester assessment: 1. tests in lectures (max. 15 points, min. 5) 2. abstracts (max. 12 points for one, min. 6 points for one) 3. final test (max 6, points, min 3 points) Final evaluation in the form of a test (max 33, points, min 20 points).
