Learning outcomes
PLO 1. To assess individual academic and scientific-professional activity, to build and implement an effective strategy of self-development and professional self-improvement. PLO 2. To demonstrate an adequate level of national and foreign languages (English) mastery to perform written and spoken communication, namely in situations of professional and scientific communication; to present the results of their studies in the national and foreign languages (English). To assess and analyze critically the vital social, individual, and professional issues and offer tactics of their solution, in difficult and unpredictable conditions, which requires the application of new approaches and forecasting. Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful completion of bachelor courses. 2. Fluent knowledge of the Ukrainian language - oral and written, knowledge of Ukrainian orthography and punctuation. 3. Mastery of methods of traditional linguistic analysis of all linguistic and speech units.
Course content
The discipline "Fundamentals of Editing" provides mastering the basic knowledge of the basics of proofreading and literary editing; understanding of the text as the object of literary editing, deepening knowledge of the types, causes, and psychological basis of mistakes, both non-linguistic and linguistic; mastering the basic methods and techniques of editorial analysis and editing of various types of text.

Assessment methods and criteria
Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides for a two-level evaluation of the learned material, in particular, the evaluation of theoretical training - learning outcomes (knowledge LO 1.1-1.3), which constitutes 40% of the total grade and the evaluation of practical training - learning outcomes (skills LO 2.1-2.5); (communication LO 3.1-3.3); (autonomy and responsibility LO 4.1-4.5), which constitutes 60% of the total grade. Semester grading: 1. Oral response, additions, participation in discussions at lectures and seminars, performance and analysis of independent work (homework, class work): 2. Presentation.
