Learning outcomes
To know: features of the dynamics of economic development of developed countries and specific determinants of the formation of their economic environment; characteristic features of national models of economic development of advanced economies; causes and consequences of the international movement of production factors and their impact on the competitiveness of developed countries.
To be able to: identify the features of the environment of international economic relations, apply modern information technology for economic and mathematical modeling; to carry out the complex analysis and monitoring of a conditions of the world markets, to estimate changes of the international environment; analyze international markets for goods and services and the principles of regulation of international trade, international scientific and technical exchange, international labor migration; to conduct research on economic phenomena and processes in the international sphere.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
A student must: have general knowledge of the patterns of behavior of economic entities in market conditions, be proficient with universal tools for making informed decisions on a choice when there are limited funds and alternative possibilities exist for their use, determine the functions of market self-regulation and the need and essence of government intervention; understand the mechanism of state regulation of an economy by means of fiscal, monetary, foreign economic and social policy; use methods of calculating key macroeconomic indicators; use macroeconomic terminology.
In addition, a student must have the necessary qualifications to conduct a comparative statistical analysis of processes and phenomena occurring in the world economy and in individual countries and regions.
Course content
Module I. Features of advanced economis in the mandates of international organizations and in the approaches of analytical agencies. Alternative approaches to the identification of criteria of developed countries. Subject, methodology and basic concepts of economic conditions. Indicators and indices as a tool for analyzing the economic environemnt of developed countries. Sectoral approach to the analysis of the international business environment: the position of developed countries and their companies in world rankings.
Module II. Small and medium enterprises in the structure of the social reproduction process of developed countries. Channels of influence of the manufacturing industry on the economic trends in developed countries. Technology and innovation as factors of influence on the economic environment of developed countries. Macroeconomic channels of influence on the economic trends in developed countries.

Semester assessment is carried out in the form of testing knowledge and skills:
1. During answers at the seminar (participation in the discussion);
2. In the form of writing individual analytical works during self-study of topics;
3. In the form of essay writing;
4. In the form of a discussion of the current economic conditions;
5. In the form of presentation of recommendations and measures for adaptation to changes in the international environment (during the SWOT-analysis of economic environment);
6. In the form of a presentation of the conducted study of the economic trends, selected for analysis of the country.
