Prerequisites and co-requisites
to know: features of the phonetic system, norms and features of declension and conjugation in ancient Greek and Latin languages, functional semantics of noun and verb categories and functions of functional parts of classical languages, types of complex sentences and their syntactic equivalents, historical facts of the development of ancient Greek and Latin languages, modern scientific debates questions in classical philology; to be able to: carry out a complex (dialectal, historical-grammatical, functional, etymological, metrical, cultural) analysis and literary translation of original texts from ancient Greek and Latin languages; to navigate in the reference and scientific literature on the academic discipline; generalize, evaluate the conclusions of research on the linguistics of the text.
Course content
The comlex final exam in classical languages is aimed at checking and evaluating students' theoretical and practical knowledge of ancient Greek and Latin languages, aimed at testing the ability to analyze, comment, interpret and translate fragments of texts of various styles and genres in ancient Greek and Latin languages. The exam consists of two parts: written and oral. The written part involves answering theoretical questions, written analysis and translation of fragments in ancient Greek and Latin. The oral part involves answering theoretical questions from classical languages, translation, analysis, commenting and interpretation of fragments in ancient Greek and Latin.

Assessment methods and criteria
The structure of the exam reflects the complex nature of the exam and consists of three tasks. The first two questions are aimed at evaluating the students' knowledge and are of a theoretical nature: the first - from the ancient Greek language; the second - from Latin; the third practical task - "Historical and grammatical analysis and translation of fragments of texts in ancient Greek and Latin" - is aimed at assessing students' skills. Evaluation criteria. The maximum number of points that a graduate can score is 100. The maximum/minimum possible number of points for each theoretical question: the maximum point is 35; the minimum score is 25. The maximum/minimum possible number of points for a practical task: the maximum score is 30; the minimum score is 25. The number of points that a graduate can score is formed by the sum of points for 3 questions: the maximum number of points is 100, the minimum positive number of points is 60, according to the rating scale.
