PLO 1. To assess the individual level of educational, academic and professional activity, to draw up and encorporate the effective strategy of personal and professional development. Prerequisites and co-requisites
To have academic knowledge about classical languages based on the theoretical basics of comparative linguistics.
Course content
Objectives of the discipline – comparative study of the grammatical and lexical levels of the ancient Greek and Latin languages; formation of a systematic understanding of the grammatical, lexical structure of classical languages and their functioning; the interaction of grammatical and lexical structures of the language. Annotation of the discipline - the discipline Structural and Typological Comparativistics of Classical Languages is aimed at studying of the main issues of comparative morphology of classical languages in the system of name and verb, and also considers the main questions of comparative syntax of classical languages.

Lectures, independent work, oral answers (expanded answers, blitz poll) and module test.
Assessment methods and criteria
The scores for the semester comprise the points for the mastering of the materials for the entire course. The total score for the semester consists of the points for the classwork (which provides for independent work with the theoretical materials for the classwork: oral answers, expanded answers, blitz poll), tests and independent work (making reports and preparing presentations). All types of activities for the semester are estimated as follows:  60 points maximum,  36 points minimum. Final assessment: exam. Maximum number of points for exam is 40, minimum number of points is – 24 points (which is 60% for the maximum score in exam);The following learning results are estimated during the exam: LR 1.1-1.9; LR 2.1-2.4; LR 3.1-3; LR 4.1-4.; exam consists of two open- ended questions, 20 points for each one.
