Learning outcomes
PLO 4. Conduct psychodiagnostics, psychocorrection and psychological rehabilitation measures; make psychological forecasts regarding the development of the individual and the group; PLO 8. Assess the complexity of activity tasks and make decisions about seeking help or advancing qualifications; PLO 9. Resolve ethical dilemmas based on legal norms, ethical principles and universal human values; PLO 13. Develop clinical-psychological research strategies taking into account the specifics of the research object and the available research methods; PLO 15. Develop criteria and indicators of professional activity effectiveness, apply them in evaluating the resolution of professional tasks, and provide recommendations for ensuring the quality of counselling and clinical-psychological services.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Students are expected to know the basic concepts and categories of clinical psychology, pathopsychology, and psychodiagnostics; to have successfully completed the courses “Clinical Psychology” and “Psychiatric Propaedeutics”; and to be able to characterize and differentiate mental processes, states, and personality traits. Students should also be able to conduct psychodiagnostic assessment, demonstrate skills in professional psychological interaction, and possess basic competencies in searching for, processing, and analyzing information
Course content
The purpose of the course is to develop a systematic understanding of the principles, methods, and stages of conducting psychological expertise in clinical practice, as well as to ensure mastery of practical skills in the specialized assessment of mental states and the preparation of a substantiated expert opinion by a psychologist. The course “Psychological Expertise in the Work of a Clinical Psychologist” is aimed at developing knowledge of the general principles and specific methods of expert assessment of psychological characteristics, fostering professional thinking in the process of clinical psychological examination, and building skills in preparing a psychologist’s expert opinion in accordance with its procedural purpose. Students acquire competencies necessary for professional activity in a multidisciplinary environment, with special emphasis placed on adherence to the principles of deontology and evidence-based practice when conducting expert assessments

Assessment methods and criteria
Assessment methods: orals, analytical reports, discussions, oral survey, participation in clinical simulations, solving clinical case vignettes, preparation of a formal expert report. The final form of assessment is a pass/fail assessment. The final grade is calculated as the sum of points earned by the student (max. 100 points). For oral answers, reports, participation in discussions students may receive 5-20 points; for oral questioning – 5-20 points; clinical simulations, including collecting and presenting clinical data, formulating diagnostic hypotheses, and substantiating expert positions – 20-40 points; and for preparing a formal expert report – 10-20 points. The pass/fail assessment is awarded based on the results of semester work. Students who score 40-59 points take the final assessment in the form of an oral interview. Students who score fewer than 40 points are not admitted to the final assessment. Grading scale: 60-100 – passed; 0-59 – failed.
